Ile-aux-Tourtes bridge closing overnight this week

Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge will be closed heading towards the island overnight from Aug. 23-26.

Drivers heading towards the Island of Montreal on Highway 40 should be aware that the Ile-aux-Tourtes Bridge will be closed overnight starting Sunday.

Quebec Transport Ministry crews will be carrying out inspections related to the Highway 40 reconstruction, in addition to grading and paving work.

Closures are also scheduled on the highway in Senneville.

Highway 40 eastbound

• From Monday to Wednesday from midnight until 5 a.m., Highway 40 eastbound, including the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge, will be closed between Exit No. 35 (Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac, Vaudreuil-Dorion, St-Charles Avenue) and the entrance from Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants.
• From Thursday at 10 p.m. to Friday at 5 a.m., Highway 40 eastbound will be closed between Exit No. 41 (Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants) and the next entrance.

Tolls on Highway 30 will be suspended during the bridge closures.

Highway 40 westbound

• From Sunday at 10:30 p.m. to Monday at 5:30 a.m., Highway 40 westbound will be closed between Exit 41 (Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants, Île Perrot) and the next entrance.
• From Monday at 10:30 p.m. to Tuesday at 5:30 a.m., the Highway 40 westbound service road will be closed between Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants and Exit No. 40 (Senneville Road).

Work may be postponed due to weather or other operational constraints.
