Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a special weather statement alerting residents in southern Quebec that we could see anywhere between 15 and 25 millimetres of rainfall Thursday. The impacted areas include Montreal, the Laurentians, and parts of the Eastern Townships. The reason for concern has to do with water levels already being high and the ground saturated. More rain next week Thursday isn’t the only day we’re expecting rain. We could see an additional 8 millimetres on Saturday evening and 3 millimetres on Sunday. Next week, the forecast calls for 4 millimetres on Tuesday and another 4 millimetres on Wednesday. The weekend will also provide a glimmer of hope with a warm daytime high of 22 C on Saturday. Let’s hope these April showers really do bring May flowers.
