Giving fans a way to channel their excitement during the playoffs, some Quebec artists are releasing anthems for Canadiens fans to sing along to during the 2026 playoffs. It’s a tradition that Annakin Slayd finessed with songs like “Feels Like ‘93” and “Rock the Sweater.” Now, a new crew of Quebec artists have accepted the challenge of creating an anthem fans can get behind. Country artist Rick Duff played the LASSO Music Festival in 2025 and met some Habs players. He loved that exchange and decided to put his energy into a song. Duff recorded his “Killer Instinct” music video on the Bell Centre ice and included a special guest on the track, organist Diane Bibeau! “She was dang nice,” he said. “We went to Diane’s place. We recorded it. At some point, she started, like, tearing up. She was, like, ‘it’s the first time in 30 years that kids come up to me and ask me to be on their song for the Canadians!’” Fifty years after his dad, Robert Charlebois, recorded “Je reviendrai à Montréal” (“I’ll come back to Montreal”), the love letter to the city and the Stanley Cup was reworked by his son, Jerome. “I had to remain true to the soul of this classic song,” said Jerome. “We lived through the ’93 series and we hope they can do it again.” With his track “Bleu Blanc Rouge,” DIONY$iO$ has a very different sound and is cranking up the energy to give fans something they can scream along to. “I want fans to feel that energy during games, before games, and after games,” he said. ”So, something that they can blast because hockey, we don’t just watch hockey here. We actually live it.” All three artists are hockey players, in their own way, and true Canadiens fans who have high hopes for the Habs to go all the way. “They’re going to win two games for sure,” said Duff. ”Back to back. We’re going to we’re going to we’re going to scare the bolts now.” “It’s going to be Habs-solutley crazy!” said DIONY$iO$. “I hope the song brings them luck and they go far in the playoffs,” said Charlebois, holding a shiny, plastic Stanley Cup replica. ”Hey, maybe one day!”
