Warm, stormy Thursday gives way to sharp temperature drop in London

CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison has your full weather forecast.

Londoners are in store for an interesting mix of temperatures for the remainder of the week.

Thursday is looking cloudy with rain and a chance of thunderstorms in the forecast and a high of 15 degrees. But the overnight forecast will see a dramatic cooldown.

“We will see temperatures dropping off as some cold air floods in behind … We will see the winds pick up as that front approaches heading into late afternoon, early evening,” said CTV London Meteorologist Julie Atchison. “I want you to note the overnight low temperature tonight. will drop down to about minus 6, so big change on the way.”

On the plus side, plenty of sunshine comes our way Friday, but it’ll stay cold until the weekend.

“So variable conditions, quite typical for this time of year, but we do have some rain on the way today,” said Atchison.

Thursday: Cloudy. 40 per cent chance of showers late in the morning and early afternoon. Showers beginning in the afternoon. Risk of a thunderstorm late in the afternoon. Wind becoming north 20 km/h in the afternoon. High 15.

Thursday night: Showers ending after midnight then cloudy. Risk of a thunderstorm in the evening. Wind north 20 km/h gusting to 40. Low minus 6. Wind chill minus 11 overnight.

Friday: Sunny. High plus 1.

Saturday: A mix of sun and cloud with 30 per cent chance of flurries. High plus 1.

Sunday: A mix of sun and cloud. High 7.

Monday: A mix of sun and cloud. High 9.
