Two apartment fires keep London crews busy overnight

London firefighters were kept busy Thursday night, responding to multiple calls across the city.

Around 11 p.m., crews were dispatched to an apartment building on Kent Street, where flames were seen coming from a balcony. Firefighters rescued one person from the unit. The individual was taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Crews were later called to a separate incident involving a kitchen fire in an apartment on Richmond Street near Western University.

One person was treated for minor burns and smoke inhalation.
