Drugs and weapons found as part of St. Thomas investigation

A 30 year old has been arrested after an ongoing investigation in St. Thomas.

According to police, the investigation started earlier this year and ended Monday with the arrest of the accused and a search of an address on Elgin Street.

Members of the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) arrested the suspect near Centre Street.

Items seized on suspect

  • Brass knuckles
  • Coyote spray
  • A functioning digital scale
  • Clear plastic dime bags

Items seized at Elgin Street home

  • Two flick knives
  • 54 methylphenidate capsules (10 mg)
  • 14 lisdexamfetamine capsules (40 mg)
  • Six hydromorphone tablets (4 mg)
  • Two rounds of Winchester .308 ammunition

Charges laid against suspect

  • Three counts of unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Two counts of possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of trafficking
  • One count of possession of a Schedule I substance
