Brad Jacobs can claim Canadian curling supremacy after winning “The Battle” in Port Elgin, over the weekend. Canada’s Olympic Gold Medal winning Men’s Curling squad beat Canada’s Olympic Bronze Medal winning Women’s Curling squad, in a head to head game on Sunday. The two best curling teams in Canada played doubles, and skins matches, as well, over the 3 day event. “The Battle” saw 3100 spectators, raising over $40,000 for charity, through the inaugural curling competition. Organizers estimated approximately $1 million in spin off economic activity, as a result of the charitable curling competition, and camp.
