Pedestrian seriously hurt after crash in Waterloo

A woman is seriously hurt after a crash in Waterloo early Saturday morning.

At around 6:10 a.m., first responders were called to the intersection of University Avenue East and Weber Street North for a crash between a Toyota pickup truck and a pedestrian.

Waterloo Regional Police said a 32-year-old woman from Waterloo was sent to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, a 53-year-old man, was not hurt.

Weber Street North was partially closed for multiple hours for a police investigation.
