Every year, the BC SPCA’s Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre (Wild ARC) holds a raffle to raise much needed funds for the care of injured, sick and orphaned wild animals on Vancouver Island. Wild ARC treats almost 3,0000 animals each year, helping them recover and return to the wild. All ticket purchases go directly to supporting these efforts - get your ticket now and be entered to win one of five incredible prizes.

The CFB Esquimalt Navy Bike Ride returns Saturday, May 25 with the first ride starting at 10am. The CFB Esquimalt Navy Bike Ride community event has two options to choose from: Free Kids/Family Fun Bike Ride beginning at 10:00 a.m. and an 18K ride beginning at 10:30 a.m. which circumnavigate the following municipalities: Esquimalt, Victoria, Saanich, View Royal, and the Songhees Nation, with most of the ride on a Capital Regional District recreational corridor bike trail (E&N Rail Trail and Galloping Goose Trail).
Hike for Hospice is happening on Sunday, May 5 at a new venue, Clover Point!
Walk solo or get a team together to support Victoria Hospice patients and families. The event kicks off with registration and entertainment at 9 am and the walk gets underway at 10 am. The 18th Oak Bay Half Marathon, Relay, 10km & Dairyland Kids 1km will be held on Sunday May 26. The race starts at 8:00 am (early start 7:00am) with a 4-hour time limit; the last participant will be off the course by 11:00am. For the safety of the participants, the Municipality of Oak Bay and Oak Bay Police Department have given us full road closures on the route so participants can use full lanes throughout the race.

The TD Victoria International JazzFest is a ten-day music festival featuring the jazz, blues and world music of local, Canadian, and internationally acclaimed musicians. The longest running multi-day professional music festival serving audiences on Vancouver Island, TD JazzFest offers its devoted audience a wide scope of programming comparable to much larger festivals in significantly larger urban areas. Since its inception the festival has been presented and produced by the Victoria Jazz Society.

The Cycle of Life Tour is a fun non-competitive group cycling event that raises funds for local hospices on Vancouver Island.
This 2-day, 200km group ride takes cyclists from Victoria, through Saanich, Mill Bay, the Cowichan Valley with an overnight stay on Salt Spring Island. If you are an avid cyclist and would like to join the ride this July in support of hospice care, or would like to donate to the ride, visit www.cycleoflifetour.ca for more information.
