The Tournament of Superheroes supporting BC Children’s Hospital Foundation is back, taking place March 2, 2019 at the newly renovated Elements Casino in Colwood. Back by popular demand, this thrilling event will be a night to remember with a No Limit Texas Hold ‘Em tournament, casino games, televised horse races, celebrity guests and fantastic door prizes with funds benefiting BC Children’s Hospital. Last time we raised over $25,000 and hope to exceed this amount this year!

Becoming: An Intimate Conversation With Michelle Obama

Produced by Live Nation, the tour will feature intimate and honest conversations between Mrs. Obama and a selection of to-be-announced moderators, reflective of the extraordinary stories shared in the wide-ranging chapters of her memoir.

Attendees will hear firsthand about Mrs. Obama’s inspirational triumphs and personal setbacks, from childhood to the White House, where she became revered around the world as a transformative voice for change and inclusivity. Before Mrs. Obama was the first African-American First Lady of the United States of America, and a powerful advocate for women and healthy lifestyles, she was a girl growing up on the South Side of Chicago. The tour will candidly recount moments spanning both her personal and professional life, as a way to share lessons learned and inspire people to become the best version of themselves.

 

 

 

KOOL Oak Bay Half Marathon

The Oak Bay Half-Marathon, Relay, 10k & Kids 1k is one of BC's most scenic running events. Starting at the beautiful Windsor Park in Oak Bay and winding its way through the heart of Oak Bay's shopping district the course then loops out and back along the scenic seaside route of Beach Drive. The course is certified.

OneLove is a registered NGO that creates economic development opportunities in East Africa through microenterprise training, funding and ongoing support. We deliver entrepreneurial training to those in remote villages who are most in need and focus on building the capacity of the women since this in turn aids the entire family. All proceeds from the One Love Gala go directly to support OneLove Africa Foundation.
