Platinum Events will be hosting A Night of White for Mental Health Gala Fundraiser featuring a white dress code, cocktail reception, 3-course dinner and auction, followed by dancing to a live band. All proceeds from this event will be going to Mental Health Recovery Partners; South Vancouver Island (formerly known as the BC Schizophrenia Society), a local nonprofit organization that is dedicated to providing services to people with serious and persistent mental illnesses.

Glad Tidings Church 

The Mustard Seed Street Church invites island communities to come together for an evening of contemporary and signature Christmas music, including stories creatively crafted by famed actor and singer Tom Jackson. Award winning musicians Tom McKillip, Darryl Havers, John MacArthur Ellis, Kirby Barber abd Diane Lanes join Tom on stage. This oerformance is one of 16 across Canada raising funds for local food banks and family service agencies. A silent auction will also be held to further support the work of The Mustard Seed.

Join us and Sanata Claus as we ring in this magical seaon with the lighting of the Empress Tree. Then head outside and watch as Fairmont Empress lights up the castle. Later, take a walk throught the Fairmont Empress and be one of the first to see the 2019 Gingerbread Holiday Village Display handcrafted by the Empress Pastry team. Mrs. Claus and the Empress holiday team will be serving hot chocolate and Christmas cookies on the veranda, while CFAX Santa Bear will be collecting toys for Santa's Anonymous.

Flux Media Gallery

The Victoria Disability Resource Centre's 7th annual "Artists with Disabilities Showcase" promises to be visually-stunning, tactile, interactive and musical. Held in conjunction with United Nations’ International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the VDRC is honoured to once again host this 3-day community awareness fundraiser December 3-5, at Flux Media Gallery, at 821 Fort Street. The Victoria Disability Resource Centre is a cross-disability, grassroots, not-for-profit organization run by and for persons with disabilities. They work closely with people who have a disability as well as other local organizations to find and remove barriers that prevent full participation in life.

Downtown Victoria: Lights of Wonder

Centennial Square 

Mark your calendar for Greater Victoria's largest, free outdoor light display. The first-ever Lights of Wonder will be held at Centennial Square from December 13 to 30. The Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) will transform the square into a holiday wonderland. Lights of Wonder will offer live entertainment, warm nibbles, and magical light displays.
