Red Deer man faces drug, weapons charges

Drugs, weapons and cash seized by Red Deer RCMP after a month-long investigation that started in March 2026 and ended with a 45-year-old man being charged with several offences.

A Red Deer man is in jail after he was charged with several drug trafficking and weapons offences.

Red Deer RCMP said in a media release Wednesday the 45-year-old was charged after a month-long investigation that started in March, when they received information that led them to look into drug-trafficking allegations.

On March 19, police used a search warrant at a north Red Deer home as part of their investigation. As a result of it, they seized fentanyl, methamphetamine, contraband cigarettes, two guns, ammunition, $4,000 in Canadian cash and other items related to drug trafficking.

The man and a 63-year-old woman were arrested. Charges are pending against the woman.
