Police seek video footage in Monday north-side death

Edmonton police are investigating a suspicious death in north Edmonton after gun shots were reported in the area.

Edmonton police are looking for dashcam or doorbell footage from a north-side neighbourhood as they investigate the suspicious death of a man on Monday night.

Police said Tuesday afternoon in a media release that officers responded to reports of shots being fired in the Calder neighbourhood near 130 Avenue and 125 Street.

When they arrived, they found a dead 26-year-old man at a nearby greenspace.

Investigators are asking anyone who lives in the area or may have been driving through it from 8-10 p.m. for doorbell or dashcam footage. They can contact Edmonton police at 780-423-4567 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
