Edmonton police are investigating the death of a woman that has been ruled a homicide. Officers responded to a report of an injured woman at a home in the area of 113 Avenue and 32 Street around 8:45 a.m. Wednesday. EMS attended and attempted lifesaving measures but the woman, later confirmed to be 31-year-old Jodie Thomas, was declared dead at the scene. An autopsy completed Thursday found that Thomas died as a result of homicide. The cause of death is being held for the time being while the investigation is underway.
