Lengthy warm spell begins to take hold

After some wild swings in temperature over the past two weeks, we’re starting to see a steadier pattern settle in.

We’ll get back to double digits in Edmonton this afternoon. Temperatures should top out around 12 C.

Then... starting Wednesday, daytime highs will hit the mid to upper teens OR low 20s, right through to at least the end of next week.

The long-term average high for early May is 15 C. So, we’ll be warmer than average through the first 10 days of the month.

Sunny skies will dominate for the next few days across most of Alberta.

The exception: some clouds and a few showers in the foothills later today.

Central and north-central Alberta get a chance of showers late Friday/early Saturday morning.

For the Edmonton area, Friday evening/late-night would be the most likely timeframe if we’re going to get anything.

Aside from that, it’s a dry forecast for the next seven to 10 days.
