Fast-food restaurant robbery suspect sought by police

Police are looking for a man who robbed a fast-food restaurant in north Edmonton earlier this year.

At 9:15 p.m. on Jan. 4, police say a man entered the restaurant in the area of 49 Street and 137 Avenue, went to the counter brandishing a knife and demanded cash from the register.

The employees fled the business through a rear exit while the suspect attempted to get into the register but was not successful.

Police describe the man as white and standing 5’8” to 5’10” with a medium build. He was wearing black pants, a black and white checkered jacket, a grey hoodie and black sneakers with white and red soles.

Anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or the robbery is asked to call the EPS at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone.
