City closes west-end pedestrian bridge over ravine for erosion repairs

A west-end pedestrian bridge will close for the next six weeks while the City of Edmonton addresses erosion issues around the structure.

In a social media post, the city said the bridge over the Wolf Willow ravine connecting the Westridge and Oleskiw neighbourhoods will remain closed until the end of October while crews complete erosion-related repairs and replace failing retaining walls.

The city said landscaping work around the bridge will follow in the spring.
