Bronze medallists Gilles, Poirier to headline Stars on Ice

Stars on Ice is bringing newly minted Olympic talent and some hometown favourites to Rogers Place in May.

Figure skaters Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier, who won bronze medals at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympics, will join a number of Canada’s best skaters for “Stars on Ice” in May in Edmonton.

The show takes over the Rogers Place ice on May 8.

Gilles and Poirier won their first Olympic medals in Italy with a number inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s The Starry Night.

Their Olympic teammates Deanna Stellato-Dudek and Maxime Deschamps, Madeline Schizas, and Lia Pereira and Trennt Michaud will be joining them.

The show will also consist of performances by icon Elvis Stojko, Kaetlyn Osmond, Keegan Messing and Roman Sadovsky.

Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha will be guest skaters at the Edmonton show.

Another Canadian skating icon, Kurt Browning, is again the show’s director and choreographer.
