Boy dead after coming into contact with power line southwest of Edmonton: RCMP

A boy who was taken to hospital earlier this week after coming in contact with a power line has died.

A boy is dead after he came into contact with an electrical wire from a downed power line in the Warburg, Alta., area on Tuesday.

The boy was transported from the area of Highway 39 and Range Road 32 to the Stollery Children’s Hospital in critical condition that afternoon.

On Thursday, RCMP were told the boy died. They deemed the death non criminal.

Occupation Health and Safety is also investigating as the incident happened on a work site.
