Search for missing Calgary child Parker Wells enters 6th day

There have been no confirmed sightings of Parker Wells since July 16, 2026. Mason DePatie reports.

The search for a missing 11-year-old Calgary child entered its sixth day Tuesday.

Parker Wells went missing from his day home in the 0 to 100 block of Connaught Drive N.W. sometime between 11:08 and 11:41 a.m. Thursday.

On Monday, police released new CCTV footage of Parker captured by a business adjacent to McKnight Boulevard and Centre Street N.W. at 12:34 p.m. on Thursday.

Previously released video footage from about 20 minutes later shows Parker in the 5000 to 6000 block of Travis Crescent N.E., in the community of Thorncliffe.

On Monday, police asked anyone in the Thorncliffe area who may have CCTV footage from Thursday, July 16, to submit the footage to police through the following upload link, regardless of whether Parker is seen: https://cps.ca.evidence.com/axon/community-request/public/ca26318270

More than 300 Calgary Police Service officers have been involved in the search for Parker, in addition to 120 trained volunteers coordinated through Search and Rescue Alberta.

Police are also using special AI technology to help them review large amounts of video footage, which they say would otherwise be extremely challenging and time-consuming.

Officers have covered more than 6,500 kilometres of ground looking for Parker, including 5,000 total hours of searching.

Parker is neurodivergent and non-verbal and may become even more scared if confronted by strangers.

If you locate Parker, you’re asked to not approach him, and to instead keep him in sight and call 911.

Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.

Parker is 4’11” tall (150 cm) and approximately 90 pounds (41 kg) with brown hair and brown eyes.

When he was last seen, Wells was shirtless, wearing dark shorts and black noise-cancelling headphones.
