The downtown CTrain was knocked out of service for several hours Thursday morning due to a pedestrian incident. At 6:30 a.m., officials said emergency services were called to a pedestrian incident at Seventh Street and Seventh Avenue S.W. Shortly afterward, Calgary Transit said both the Red and Blue Lines were shut down in the same area. “Trains are not travelling between Kerby/Sunnyside and City Hall stations,” Calgary Transit said on X. EMS says one adult has been taken to hospital in non-life-threatening condition. Shuttle buses were brought in to transport passengers through the area. The situation was resolved and CTrains on both the Red and Blue Lines resumed at approximately 8 a.m.
