The Transportation Safety Board is investigating after a plane crashed at the Medicine Hat Regional Airport. Emergency crews were called for a small private plane on the runway around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. Police say two people were on board but nobody was hurt. Late Thursday morning, the City of Medicine Hat posted an update on social media, explaining that “A small private aircraft landed short of the runway on airport property and came to rest in the grass, where it was unable to move without assistance. It said airport operations staff worked to clear the runway in a timely manner, forcing its closure for around two hours. The only disruption to the airport schedule was the arrival of a WestJet flight from Calgary, which was delayed around three-and-a-half hours before arriving Wednesday evening. The Transportation Safety Board investigation into the cause of the incident continues.
