Brace for the next winter wallop, Calgary

Heavy snowfall blanketed much of Calgary on Wednesday. There's still more to come before the white fluffy stuff tapers off this weekend.

There was winter madness in parts of Calgary on Wednesday, and the second wave is rolling in.

Snow will intensify overnight and start to taper off late Thursday morning. Calgarians can expect three to six centimetres of snow with this wave, making for a tricky Thursday morning commute.

Temperatures will also be frigid, feeling like -20 with the wind chill in the morning.

The forecast is expected to brighten up for Friday, with warm, windy, and bright weather. The next round of snow and cold should arrive Sunday.
