Mounties say two more men are facing charges in connection with the death of a Chestermere man more than six years ago. The Alberta RCMP’s major crimes unit says Harmanjot Chumber, 24, of Edmonton, and Dalvir Sidhu, 33, of Rocky View County, have each been charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder. The offences are related to the death of 18-year-old Sahil Grewal in April 2020. Investigators allege Mohit Sandhu, a 24-year-old man of Conrich, Alta., delivered a mixture of cough syrup and fentanyl to the deceased. Sandhu was arrested on July 7, 2025, and charged with the same offences as the other two suspects. Police later determined that the drugs consumed by Grewal were intended for 25-year-old Calgary resident Jaskaran Sidhu, who was unharmed in the incident. Court appearances for Chumber and Dalvir Sidhu are scheduled for August.
