Provincial Police say the same two suspects are believed to be responsible for a pair of break-and-enter incidents in Shelburne. Police say the first incident took place on Aug. 22 between 2:30 a.m. and 3:10 a.m. at a car wash on Industrial Road. Dufferin OPP say two males wearing face coverings and gloves entered the car wash by using a power tool to cut through the service door. According to police, once inside, the suspects stole cash from the office and used an angle grinder to gain access to a coin machine from which additional cash was stolen. Police say the suspects also stole tools from a workbench in the service area. They then moved onto another car wash on Centennial Road. Sometime between 3:10 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. the duo used an angle grinder to cut through the service door and get inside, according to OPP. Police say they used the grinder to access a change machine and steal cash, before leaving. The suspects are described as two males, wearing face coverings, dark-coloured work gloves and backpacks. One man was wearing a blue plaid jacket, while the other was dressed entirely in black, police say. One suspect was seen with a bicycle, while the other was carrying a longboard, OPP say. Anyone with information or surveillance footage from the areas around the car washes is asking to contact OPP.
