The much-anticipated Culture Days, an annual event that celebrates the arts and creatives returned to Barrie this weekend.
The event kicked off on September 20 with a three-week schedule that includes an assortment of art-related workshops and free dance classes.
Some events include henna classes, a community weaving project, a make-your-own artwork exhibit, and Arabic calligraphy.
Monica Loney, a freelance artist and public art advocate from Barrie, is leading a public art project called Weaving Our Community at Culture Days, a unique opportunity to bring people in the community together and contribute to a shared art piece.
"It represents how all of our stories and all of our lives are interconnected, so I wanted to get the community to come in and add a string and weave it all together and make a collaborative art piece," said Loney.
Culture days will wrap up on October 13.
