Coroner’s Office investigates death of woman in Innisfil: Police

Police say a woman in her 60s has suddenly died in Innisfil Monday afternoon.

At 3:50 p.m., officers say they responded to a medical call on St. Johns Road and when they arrived on scene, the woman was pronounced dead.

South Simcoe police say they are helping the Coroner’s Office investigate the death.

Police are keeping control of the scene until the Coroner’s Office does a post-mortem examination.

Authorities assure the public there is no risk to public safety.

The investigation continues.

Police have provided no other details at this time.
