A Mono man is facing charges for a collision that hospitalized a woman earlier this year. Around 10 a.m. on April 28, emergency crews were called to Huronia Road, approaching Mapleview Drive East, for a serious collision. Police say a vehicle travelling north on Huronia crossed the centre line and slammed into an oncoming vehicle. The collision flipped the northbound vehicle onto its roof. That section of Huronia Road was then closed off for hours for investigation and cleanup. A 47-year-old Barrie woman was sent to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. On Wednesday, police charged a 49-year-old Mono man with careless driving causing bodily harm.
