RCMP investigate theft of church bell in Antigonish, N.S.

The RCMP in Antigonish, N.S., is investigating the theft of a church bell that was stolen sometime last week.

Police say they responded to a report of a theft from outside a church in the 5000 block of Highway 337 on Friday. Officers learned a bell that was on display in the church yard had been stolen sometime between Wednesday and Friday.

In a news release Tuesday, police say they believe someone used a grinder saw to cut the iron bell from the base and load it onto a truck.
