N.S. RCMP looking for 3 suspects after man lured from home, has vehicle stolen

The Nova Scotia RCMP is looking for three suspects after a man was lured from his home, assaulted, and had his vehicle stolen in Pictou County.

Police responded to a report of a robbery in the 600 block of Brook Road in Hedgeville around 4:10 p.m. on Feb. 10.

“Officers learned that a man had been lured from his home by a woman who claimed she needed a boost for her vehicle,” said the RCMP in a news release Monday.

“The man drove the woman to her car, which was parked along Brook Rd. When they arrived, one of the two men travelling with the woman exited their vehicle and assaulted the victim.”

Police say the men took off in the victim’s 2018 GMC Sierra while the woman drove away in the car.

The victim was assessed at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

The stolen Sierra was later found in McLellans Brook on Feb. 18.

Poilce are still looking for the three suspects.

The woman is described as six feet tall with a slim build and deep, red hair that may be shoulder-length. She was wearing a hooded coat and ripped jeans.

One of the men is described as five-foot-five with a slender build, dark hair and a beard. He was wearing a hooded jacket.

A description of the second man is not available.

The trio was travelling in a dark-coloured, four-door, older model Honda Civic or Toyota Corolla.
