Halifax police probe for information into 2022 homicide

Halifax police say they are continuing to investigate the 2022 homicide of Keezondre Kentrez Rayshawn Smith.

Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 1600 block of Hollis Street on March 26, 2022.

In a news release, police say responding officers found the 20-year-old with gunshot wounds and took him to hospital where he later died.

An autopsy was conducted by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner where Smith’s death was ruled a homicide.

Police believe there are still people who could have information on Smith’s case and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 902-490-5020.
