Blood collection clinic in Halifax closed for another day

A busy blood collection clinic in Halifax remains closed Saturday.

The Bayers Road clinic suddenly closed around 4 p.m. Thursday due to “water-related issues.” The clinic was also closed Friday as a result of the issues.

Following the closure Thursday, Nova Scotia Health (NSH) told CTV News it was waiting for a plumber to come to the site.

Patients’ appointments will be honoured at other blood collection sites within Halifax Regional Municipality. They will also receive a call to give them the option of rebooking their appointment.

Appointments are required for blood collection services.

NSH said staff from the Bayers Road clinic will assist at other locations in the meantime.
