Three people have been arrested following a traffic stop in Grand Manan, N.B.

The New Brunswick RCMP says officers conducted the traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle travelling on Route 776 around 9 p.m. Thursday.

Police say they searched the vehicle and found what they believed to be cocaine, a digital scale, packaging materials and a cell phone.

The driver, a 41-year-old man from Grand Manan, and two passengers, a 48-year-old man from Grand Manan and a 41-year-old woman from Nova Scotia were arrested. They were later released and will appear in court at a later date.

The investigation is ongoing.
