N.B. RCMP investigating arson after lumber camp fire in Saint-Léonard

The Saint-Léonard RCMP is seeking help with an arson investigation after a fire at a lumber camp in the community.

Officers responded to a report of a fire at a lumber camp on Andre Soucy Road on Feb. 1.

Police say the fire is believed to have happened sometime between 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 31 and 1 p.m. on Feb. 1.

“Through the investigation, it was determined that the fire had been intentionally set. No one was present at the lumber camp at the time of the fire,” read a news release from RCMP.
