Maritime gas prices nearing $2 per litre with latest increase

Gas prices in the Maritimes increased again overnight and are pushing closer to the $2 per litre mark.

Nova Scotia

The price of regular self-serve gasoline in the Halifax area increased by 7.4 cents to a new minimum of 191.7 cents per litre.

The price of diesel increased by 2.5 cents. The minimum is 215.5 cents per litre.

The new minimum price of regular self-serve gasoline in Cape Breton is 193.7 cents per litre. The minimum price of diesel is now 217.5 cents per litre.

Prince Edward Island

The price of gas and diesel increased for the second time this week on P.E.I.

Regular self-serve gasoline increased by 7.4 cents. The minimum price is now 196.5 cents per litre.

Diesel prices increased by 6.9 cents to a new minimum price of 231.0 cents per litre.

New Brunswick

The price of regular self-serve gasoline increased by 7.8 cents overnight in New Brunswick. The new maximum price is 191.3 cents per litre.

The price of diesel increased by 4.6 cents. The new maximum price is 225.9 cents per litre.
