Winnipeggers can expect to see plows hitting streets Friday.
The city announced plowing is underway on major streets as well as sidewalks and pathways.
Crews will be following the street priority system.
Salt is also being applied to help with traction around the city.
“Motorists should drive to conditions and use extreme caution when near heavy equipment,” the city said in a news release.
Environment and Climate Change Canada told CTV News Winnipeg that the city had varied amounts of snow. The north and northeast saw up to 10 centimetres of snow, while in the south, there was between one and two centimetres.
