Winnipeg Police will provide an update Wednesday on Mashkode Bizhiki’ikwe, also known as Buffalo Woman, an unidentified victim of Winnipeg serial killer, Jeremy Skibicki.

Skibicki was found guilty on four counts of first-degree murder in July 2024 in the deaths of Morgan Harris, 39; Marcedes Myran, 26; and Rebecca Contois, 24 and Buffalo Woman.

Few details about Buffalo Woman have been released to the public; a photo of the black and white Baby Phat jacket she is believed to have worn was released in December 2022.

Police believed Buffalo Woman was Indigenous and in her mid-20s, saying she was likely killed on or around March 15, 2022.

Rebecca Contois’ partial remains were found in May 2022 in a North Kildonan area garbage bin, and in February 2025, a search of Prairie Green Landfill unearthed Morgan Harris’ and Marcedes Myran’s remains.

The media availability takes place at 1 p.m. on March 26. Few other details are being shared about what will be discussed.

CTV News Winnipeg will live stream the update.
