A 31-year-old Winnipeg man was arrested earlier this week following a drug investigation in the city’s Varsity View neighbourhood.

On Wednesday, Winnipeg police executed a warrant at an apartment suite on Hendon Avenue after learning a male suspect was trafficking drugs in the area.

Police arrested the man and found he was carrying about 46 grams of cocaine.

Officers seized an additional 207 grams of cocaine during a search of the suite, along with drug packaging and scales.

Winnipeg police said the 253 grams of cocaine seized are worth around $25,300.

The man is facing one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking.

He was released on an undertaking.
