Though spring is less than a week away, parts of Manitoba are still dealing with winter weather conditions.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a snowfall warning on Friday morning for several central and northern communities, including Churchill, The Pas and Thompson.
The weather agency notes that snowfall has already begun in The Pas and Flin Flon regions. The snowy conditions are expected to move northeast starting on Friday afternoon and into Churchill by Saturday morning.
Accumulations between 15 and 25 centimetres are expected before tapering off on Sunday.
ECCC warns that snow may make highways, roads, parking lots and walkways difficult to navigate.
Drivers should be prepared for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
