A West End back lane was barricaded and closed off by Winnipeg police cruisers Friday.
Police said officers were investigating in the back lane of the 700 block of Home Street.
Police arrived at 10 a.m. Friday morning and were still at the scene as of 5 p.m.
A row of garbage and recycling bins were seen partially covered with a black tarp and police tape surrounded the scene.
Police were unable to provide further details, only saying it was an active investigation.
