Winnipeg police arrested a 31-year-old woman early Sunday morning for allegedly driving a stolen truck.
Officers spotted the Ford F-150 being driven around Sargent Avenue and McGee Street around 12:20 a.m. They confirmed it had been reported stolen on Friday from Perth Avenue.
The patrolling officers followed the truck, and with the help of the Air-1 helicopter, tracked it to the 400 block of Toronto Street. Police said the female suspect hopped out of the truck and ran away. She was arrested nearby without incident.
The woman is facing two charges – possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.
She was released on an undertaking.
