Manitobans using natural gas can expect a major change on their upcoming bills.
Manitoba Hydro announced Thursday it will not longer collect the Federal Carbon Charge starting April 1.
Prime Minister Mark Carney has previously announced that the consumer carbon tax would be removed on the same date.
Manitoba Hydro says the typical Manitoba household paid approximately $338 towards the levy last year.
The charge will still apply to gas used before April 1, so it will still show up on the next bill.
