The NHL is Connor Hellebuyck’s world and everyone else is just living in it.
For the third time this season, the Winnipeg Jets’ star goaltender has been named a star of the week – this time being the first star.
Hellebuyck played in two games this past week and grabbed victories in both. He helped secure a 5-2 win against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday, which was the 300th win of his career. He followed that up with a 3-0 shutout of the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday.
The shutout was the 43rd of his career and sixth of this season – tying his career high for one season.
In the two games, Hellebuyck had a 1.00 goals against average and a .960 save percentage.
Not only was this Hellebuyck’s third star of the week, but he was previously named the third star of the month for November.
Hellebuyck and the Jets will try to continue their success as they have a trio of home games this week against the Vancouver Canucks, Seattle Kraken, and Calgary Flames.
