Windsor’s Keys of Hope donates $15K to local charities

More than $15,000 was given to Windsor charities, as Manor Realty held its seventh annual “Keys of Hope” cheque presentations.

More than $15,000 was given to 11 local charities Wednesday in Windsor by the Keys of Hope organization.

Manor Realty on Walker Road held their seventh annual Keys of Hope cheque presentations.

The company’s realtors set aside a percentage of their yearly sales to donate to area charities that receive little, if any, funding from the public sector.

These diverse charities do work such as building beds for children without, provide meals for schoolchildren, and help the homeless amongst other initiatives.

Rob Agnew, Vice President of Manor Realty, chairs the organization and its annual efforts to raise monies and the distribution of funds to local charitable organizations

“This is why I thank our friends in the media, because of the exposure,” said Agnew.

“It’s driving people to our Keys of Hope website. And there they’ll see the links from all of today’s charity groups. They push the button; they can go directly to those groups and donate directly.”

Over the last seven years, cheques totalling more than $133,000 have been handed out.
