A celebration was held on Thursday morning as a Windsor-based group made a big donation to several local organizations.

Windsor-based Circle of Seven philanthropic organization gave a total of $60,000 to 20 local charities and organizations.

For the past three decades, they have financially supported many grassroots charities that receive little or no public funding. This year’s beneficiaries included Autism Windsor-Essex, United Way, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Morgan’s Messy Miracles, Leone Residence, Windsor-Essex Therapeutic Riding Association, and the Windsor-Essex Humane Society among others.

Funds raised last year through events like the Denim and Diamonds Gala and the annual golf tournament go back into the community by way of charities that help the most vulnerable in our community.

Like the Circle of Seven, these charities are operated by professionals and volunteers who care a great deal about changing lives for the better.

One of the yearly recipients of Circle of Seven donations has been the Riverside Minor Baseball Association.

Bill Kell is the treasurer and is grateful to the organization for their ongoing vital support of community youth baseball.

“The Circle of Seven has been around for a long time, and we’re honored to be associated with them,” said Kell.

“Their contribution to us or our programs at our Miracle League and the maintenance of our Miracle Park continues on and on.”

It’s a legacy that reveals the giving nature of the Windsor-Essex region.
