Windsor is the host of Poutine Feast at Riverside Festival Plaza this weekend

It’s not just a food festival - it’s billed as “Poutine Feast”, and it’s going on now until Sunday at the Riverfront Festival Plaza.

A variety of food trucks offering creative and one-of-a-kind poutine dishes, desserts and treats are featured attractions at the riverside site.

In addition, games for all ages, a scavenger hunt, face-painting and body art, a sing-along this Saturday evening and music provide a family and pet-friendly atmosphere.

Tava Hooker, a Grade 12 student and her friends enjoyed eating out at the feast.

“it’s very fun - I’ve never had this before, but I like Mexican street corn so it’s good on poutine,” said Hooker.

“The one side is Mexican street corn, like on poutine and then the other side is ground beef and like, big mac sauce and pickles.”

Poutine feast is a Canadian touring venture that visits cities throughout Ontario - 23 events in all for 20-25.
