Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island is celebrating 10 years of The Best of Windsor-Essex Awards this year.
At a recent ceremony at Caesars Windsor, 48 awards were given out. A total of 525 local businesses, attractions, and events have been honoured since the beginning of the awards.
Seven Windsor-based businesses have won their category across those 10 years. Those include Caesars Windsor and The Colosseum, Cindy’s Home and Garden, Devonshire Mall, Walkerville Brewery, Colasanti’s, and Kingsville Golf and Country Club.
“You have to be constantly striving to improve,” said Doug Quick, general manager of Kingsville Golf and Country Club.
“Each year, we always come up with something to improve the golf course. It’s hired lots of consultants over the year to help us with five and ten-year direction. That certainly sets us on a goal of where we’re supposed to be and where we want to be.”
