The Kitchener Rangers completed a comeback for the ages Tuesday night at the WFCU Centre, at the expense of the Windsor Spitfires.
Luke Ellinas scored late in the first overtime period of game seven, clinching the series for Kitchener. The Rangers had trailed the series 3-0 at one point, only to come back and win four straight games.
Windsor’s Carter Hicks scored his second of the playoffs in the second period to tie the game 1-1, the only Spits goal of the game.
The Rangers move on to face the top-seeded London Knights in the next round of the playoffs.
