Progressive Conservative candidate Andrew Dowie is projected by CTV News to win the Windsor-Tecumseh riding.
Since winning the seat in June 2022, Dowie has been touting his work in securing “electric vehicle sector investments, launching the final phase of widening Highway 3, and investing millions to expand healthcare facilities and training opportunities for local workers,” according to a news release.
Dowie says this election he has been focusing his campaign on fighting the American tariffs.
There were seven people running to be the next Member of Provincial Parliament for the riding, which is home to more than 122,000 people.

Dowie turned the riding blue after the NDP’s Percy Hatfield did not seek re-election after holding the seat for 10 years.
It was the first time in 93 years voters in this part of Ontario elected a conservative.
In 2022, Dowie beat NDP candidate Gemma Grey-Hall by a little more than six thousand votes.
