Local golf courses offering free golf for kids in July

Several local golf courses in Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent are offering free golf for kids this July.

The golf courses are:

• Rochester Place Resort Inc., offering no charge with a paying adult from July 6 to 12
• Roseland Golf Club, juniors 16 and under play for free on the Par 3 course with a paying adult from July 6 to 12
• Seven Lakes Golf Course, offering free play from July 6 to 12 only on the Old Course
• Orchard View Golf Course, offering afternoons with an accompanied adult from July 6 to 12
• Kingsville Golf and Country Club, offering free play every Monday in July after 12 p.m.
• Talbot Trail Golf Club, participating from July 6 to 12
• Tilbury Golf Club, participating from July 6 to 12
• Ridgetown Golf and Curling Club, juniors play for free with a paying adult after 3 p.m. from July 6 to 12

The free play is through the National Gold Course Owners Association Canada’s (NGCOA) Take A Kid to the Course program.

“At a time when families are looking for healthy and engaging ways to spend time together, Take A Kid to the Course offers the perfect opportunity to get outdoors, be active, and create lasting memories,” said Nathalie Lavallée, CEO of NGCOA Canada.

“Some of the best experiences in golf begin when a parent, grandparent, family member, or mentor introduces a young person to the game. Canadian golf courses are proud to welcome families and help inspire the next generation of golfers.”

Participants will also be able to enter to win one of four premium junior golf club sets, worth $600 each.
