U Windsor women’s head basketball coach Chantal Vallee launched a new book Tuesday, daring you to win.
The book covers research from Valle’s days as a student at McGill University, that was put into practice when she took over as the Lancers head coach in 2005.
The Lancers would go on to become a dominant force in Canadian basketball, winning five straight national titles from 2011 to 2015.
The book, ‘Dare to Win’ aims to help readers turn challenges into success, and Vallee says the message is reaching more people than she ever imagined.
“While I was hoping it was going to do this, I didn’t really expect to receive feedback directly,” she told CTV News. “I though coaches would email me or business owners but just people and parents say ‘this can help me parent my kids better’ and I thought that’s fantastic. It touches a bigger group than what I thought.”
